Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Disappears from Google Play, Apple App Store Following Government order

Those who already have it installed on their devices can still play the game, at least for now. The removal happened without warning late on Thursday evening, leaving many users surprised.

There isn’t a clear reason behind the ban on BGMI in India, but it seems to be linked to a recent alleged killing over PUBG

According to a recent report, a 16-year-old boy shot and killed his mother over an argument about online games like PUBG. The Indian law enforcement was investigating the incident.

Google in a statement said, “On receipt of the order, following established process, we have notified the affected developer and have blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India

This is the second time that the game has been delisted app stores in India, with itsfrom predecessor PUBG, the popular battle royale game, being banned in the country prior to this.
